Swing That Egg

A swing card - I hardly ever remember to make these cards and they so fun and EASY. Not a whole lot to tell.......hmmm, I used an egg cookie cutter as a template...........I love the squiggle corners embossing folder (not sure if I've ever used it before). Even after all these years, I still love those PrintWorks stamps (wondeful font!). The Cosmo Cricket B&T (Pixie something) worked wonderfully well for the decorative "egg".

Yes, I know............it's all so very ORANGE!!

Taking Julie's Dare!

So Ms. Smarty-Pants Julie Ebersole creates a totally cool card and within the same stinkin' post she starts in about oh just change the color palette and swap out some flower or birds for the stars and you could have a very pretty feminine card. Sheesh - can't she just be happy with creating a lovely manly-male card? I tell you...............

But THEN................she DARED you to make those changes.................so what are you going to do? Why take the dare of course!!! And here's my feminine version of her card. Drat it all, why don't my Kraft cardbases photograph in true color???!!

Mr. Big Ears

I so admire all of those card-makers that can look at a pile of punches and just whip up something absolutely brilliant.................alas, I'm not one of them.

I will NEVER confess how very many HOURS I spent on getting this ding-dang bunny proportional........sheesh - I think I used about every single oval punch I have in my collection. YIKES!!

Anyhow - here's another Easter Card.....and pretty much no stamping on this one!

Sean's B-Day Card

Ok, it might LOOK like a card for a kid, but really it was made specifically for a young man very nearly in his 20's.....but geeez, I've known him since forever (literally), so I think I've got some wiggle room in making a goofy card for him once in a while. While the 3 mini-envelopes on the front of the card have fun tickets, the mini-envelope INSIDE the card had the cash (and was most likely the best envelope in Sean's opinion....). I'm pleased that I'm still remembering to use those cool embossing folders and it was nice to use some OLD tools that I have hidden (stamp-edged Fiskars)....man, I think the blue twine has to be about 7 years old!! Cheers to Sean for a great b-day.........he's a wonderful guy! Thank You Berry Much

While I like it.....it's a tad bit "sweeter" than is my usual taste.....I love tiny little stamps - Heidi has always said I can make a card with a 1-inch stamp (I think she's right!!). I needed to make several thank you cards and I re-discovered the paisley embossing folder in my bucket of embossing folders the day before and what goes perfectly with paisley?? Why yes indeed, strawberries of course - everyone knows that. Had to whip out the new Nestabilities and USE them.....(love those scalloped circles - Heidi got the scalloped squares and I'm seeing them all over blogland - perhaps they'll be next on my purchasing list) - even got to color a little bit too - I was happy! Stamps - PTI; Inks - Memento & Colorbox chalk inks; Copics; Spicas; Nestabilities; Marvy punches (plain circle & scalloped circle); Cuttlebug & embossing folder

Monkey Loot

I fought this wacky monkey for as long as possible but obviously I caved.......but come on - it's a PIRATE monkey!! Random stamping on the cardbase, fast and easy..........I think the toughest part of the card was wrapping the twine around the monkey panel!
