Bright Lights

Elf & Star stamps & Liquid Glass - CTMH
Pine branch & string of lights - Hero Arts
Fa La La La Laaa - Cat's Pajamas
Memento Inks
Copics, Spicas & Stickles

Stamped the pine bough multiple times in a tree-like formation and then had stamped the elf with lights and matched up the string of lights and started coloring. I tell you, CLEAR stamps is the only reason I kept my sanity when making a dozen of these cards!!

Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays & Seasons Greetings (and Yummy EATINGS) to you and yours!!

Darling Duo

Stamps - Hero Arts
Ornament Punch - Stampin' Up
Icicle border punch - Martha Stewart
Inks - Memento & Colorbox
Glittered B&T CS - Michael's Glittered Pad of CS (not mine, someone shared)
Silver Cording - Michaels
Spiral Tinsel - Christmas Around the World (this stuff is nearly 20 years old....)

I contemplated and hemmed and hawed about getting the ornament punch from S.U. and finally decided that I didn't really need it.....so I didn't get it - and then, then one of my stamping buddies had the audacity to bring it along to a stamp get-together and offer to "share" it.....of course after I had it in my clutches and used it I realized that now, now I NEED it....sigh......oh, and I could use that stack of glitterfied CS too.......double-sigh........

Don't you think the spiral tinsel (really, that's how it was listed in the catalog) is pretty cool? I've used it as the air hose/tube thing on an astronaut card too......I'm VERY careful of how I use it, how much I use and if the recipient is Spiral Tinsel-worthy (ok, so only slightly better than Elaine's sponge-worthy criteria.....) but with a resource that is considered finite, one must be very cautious - frugal even!!

Too Late?

Close-up of the sequined, beaded and Sticklefied tree
Stamps - Cat's Pajamas
B&T for tree - CTMH
B&T background - Michael's Slab O' Paper
Inks - Memento
Spicas
Stickles
Sequins & seed beads - Western Crafts
Mini Star Brad - Makiny Memories
Oh that Sprinkle-kitty......she's at it again!! This card was a lot of snip-snip-snipping.....cutting that tree out was a bit of a bugger but sooooo worth it (IMO).....the sequins came later since the tree was a bit flat.......it's fitting I think that Sprinkle would have a sequined tree because she's such a "happening cat"..............

Pretty Pine

Stamps, wood-grain CS - A Muse
Stardream CS & scrap CS
Brads - CTMH
Ink - Memento
Copics & Spicas

This card is a tweaked version of a Make & Take during AMAP this year. I remember when we were making them, I decided I needed to do a batch or two for Christmas and miracles upon miracles I actually REMEMBERED a mental "note to myself"......let me tell you, it doesn't happen often that I actually remember something in time for whatever I wanted it for (and oh yes, I'm a list-maker and an organizer to nnnnth degree) - so I'm pretty pleased with myself right about now!!

Easy and beautiful card.......not a lot of frou-frou going on........about how I like most cards.

Cozy & Toasty

Stamps, B&T paper, Twilight Ink, Markers - CTMH
White Organza Ribbon
White Gel Pen
Spicas
Corner-rounder

Super speedy card that still looks pretty elegant. Don't you love the falling snow?? That's a little something that I learned in a Julie Ebersole class last year (I believe I was so enthralled with making snow with the white gel pen I created a blizzard on my card in class......). The Spicas help to create a bit of twinkle and ta-daaahhhhh, the card is done!

I love it when a card comes together so quickly and smoothly and you're pretty proud to call it your own.

2 Stinkers...AKA Lily and Iris

No, it's not just one large 2-headed cat......there's actually two of them there.....it's nap-time so they're actually getting along (i.e. NOT trying to eat each other....). Iris is using Lily as a pillow - what every good sister needs.... Chef Bo-Bo Head will tell me, one of them is doing this or that, ok - which one?? "The Brown One"..............sigh................

Aaaaaah, Lily has finally opened her peepers - obviously she needs to change the channel (oh how she and Chef Bo-Bo Head fight over control of the clicker!!) - it can't be the cooking channel ALL of the time.....Iris is too tired to pay attention to the t.v. - it takes a lot out of you to move from the bed to the couch for your early-morning to mid-morning nap.
Well here are two out of the three of our feline members of the family. They are rotten - really rotten.....spoiled, catered-to, fretted over cats....CATS......I will literally shimmy from under the covers, doing contortions just so I won't wake one of them up. I will sing at the top of my lungs, have water running and do anything else that I can think of to camouflage that I'm opening a can of tuna (for human consumption)............and every weeknight as I'm changing from work clothes to lounge clothes, I'm asking them how their day was - what they did, what they saw, how many naps they took, if their dry kibble was yummy etc.
It's a sickness......and I've passed it on to my daughter....

Hmmmm YUM!!

B&T Paper, flower stamp, mini brad and ribbon - CTMH
Hot Drink Label - PTI
Inks - Memento & CTMH
Spicas
Scalloped scissors
Marvy Scalloped Circle punch
It seems I'm always saying "quick and easy card".....hey, maybe I'm all about quick & easy cards, huh? Well unless there's a lot of coloring to be done, then time stands still as I select 23 Copics to color an image that's about 2 inches big........I do love to color.
But since I'm such a fan of B&T paper and have such a large collection of it, I try to use it as often as possible and in doing that, the card almost creates itself - that's my story and I'm sticking to it!!

Sweet Song

Close-Up of Elzy Girl & bird
Stamps - Elzybells
Cardbase - Memory Box
PLP - A Muse
Ink - Memento & Colorbox
Copics
Prism Glitter
Stardream CS
Marvy Circle Scallop Punch
May Arts (??) Ribbon
While I don't have a ton of the Elzybells stamps, the ones that I do have I like quite a LOT. I'm sorry to see them go. I know the larger versions are available but that's like using Godzilla Elzys compared to these smaller, more manageable-sized Elzys. So I guess this collection will become one of my Preciousssss collections and I'll have to keep them in a temperature-controlled, acid-free, light-filtered, container with lots of bubble padding and alarmed locks......that should keep them safe!!

Elf Magic

Stamps - Cat's Pajamas
B&T paper - CTMH & Cosmo Cricket (Jolly By Golly)
CS - CTMH
Ink - Memento
CTMH Markers Copic Warm Gray #1 & Spicas
Marvy Snowflakes punches (orange & Green)
EK Success Large Oval Punch
Gemstones - A Muse
Fiskars Mini Deckle scissors

Don't you just love Sprinkle the Cat?? So sassy & sweet (and snotty).....so very cat-like. Our cats take flight on giant candy canes pretty much all of December too, wearing their latest Elf Outfits of course! Hee, hee, hee.....I'd love to try and get Bob or Lily or Iris into an Elf hat let alone a complete outfit!!

Some nontraditional Christmas colors are used in this card but I loved how the Cosmo Cricket and CTMH papers worked so well together. Other than that the card is pretty basic - just a good excuse to feature that rascally Sprinkle-kitty!!!

Mini Magical Hat

Card base - Memory Box
Stamps - A Muse
CS panels - CTMH & PTI
Inks - Mementos
Copics, White Gel Pen
Star Rhinestone - ???
B&T paper - ??? (yep, it's the old stuff!)
Ribbon - Michaels

I stamped the mini Santa's hat and the sentiment on PTI's Soft Stone CS.....the white CS was waaaaaaay too harsh because the B&T holly paper is actually more grey than white. Another benefit of the Soft Stone CS.....the fur trim really POPS with the white gel pen. Have I mentioned that this darling mini Santa's hat is my favorite stamp of this particular A Muse release?? Even though the release was in July, I've had this little hat on my desk since then......could hardly wait to use it!!

Received a shipment from CTMH the other day AND it's all I can do to NOT fling everything that I'm in the middle of off to the side and just plow into the new B&T paper and stamps......they're all so pretty and shiney and new.....................ok, ok, I've got to get a grip - I'm a mature adult, I'm a mature adult, I'm a mature adult, I'm a mature adult, I'm a mature adult, I'm a mature adult, (geez, how many times do I have to say this before I start fooling myself??), I'm a mature adult, I'm a mature adult, I'm a mature adult............

Tagged!

Stamp - Hero Arts
Organza Ribbon & CS - CTMH
Sheer Ribbon (for tag) - A Muse
B&T (tag) - "Jolly By Golly" (Cosmo Cricket)
B&T ("wrap") - ??? more old stuff....

Fast & easy.........and in more traditional Christmas colors than a lot of the cards that I've made this year. Plus I got to use that oh-so cute paper from Cosmo Cricket too!! Not much to this card I know but this particular card design always sells well (both for Christmas and birthdays) - so I'm not going to mess with it too much..........

I'm getting a hankering to see New Moon again......hmmmm wonder when Creepella and I can run away and immerse ourselves in vamps & wolves...........and cola icees and popcorn (with butter).

Tweet - Tweet

Cardbase and B&T paper - Memory Box
Mini Gingham CS - A Muse
Bird Stamp - Hero Arts
Sentiment & Desert Sand CC - CTMH
Ink - Memento
Copics & Spicas
Cuttlebug Embossing Folder
Stardream CS
EK Success Circle Punches
Twine - PTI
Green CS - scrap....from ???

It took me forever with the "dinking around" part of the card..........just couldn't decide where to place all the parts so I took a break by going to bed - looking at it the next day was exactly what I needed since everything just seemed to leap into place on its own. I'm also kinda digging that diamond plate embossing folder - it's a newish one from Cuttlebug. I got it specifically for my manly male cards - so see, I'm thinking about them!!

I need to re-stock our card baskets this week.........the card supply is pathetically low. I think it's time to slash prices to get rid of those last few hanger-ons and then load up with all NEW stuff. It'll be a mini-flurry of activity for Heidi and my latest efforts - wish us luck!!

So Sweeeeeet

Cardbase - Memory Box
Stamps - Sweets (Hero Arts), sentiment (A Muse)
B&T - Doodlebug
Stardream CS
Ink - Memento
Copics & Spicas
Stickles

This card just fell together once I got my hands on the darling B&T paper (I'm such a sucker for Doodlebug paper!!)......I already had the "sweets" ready to go (had stamped, colored and cut them out ages ago) and adding that strip of Stardream CS adds some delicious shimmer. I've used the sentiment from A Muse on several cards - it just seems so fitting for so many types of cards (hmmmm - do see a food trend here???).

Ok that's it for the b-day cards for now......been busy with Christmas cards and I have several that are ready for posting - check back this week, I should have a couple of them up for a look-see!! Speaking of Christmas, we've got to get hopping on our photo Christmas card too (yes, I torment family and friends with not only a photo card but also a Christmas letter.......the shrieking starts when they seen the return address on the envelope I'm sure......)

Light My Fire

Cardbase & Citrus Green CS & Liquid Glass - CTMH
Dragon stamp - Stampin' Up
Sentiment - A Muse
B&T paper - ??? (more of that really old stuff!!)
Cuttlebug embossing folder
Inks - Memories & Memento
Copics & Spicas
Stickles

Guess it's just been my purging desire to finally use up some of the stuff I've been hanging on to (with both hands) for years and years and years.................also, have had loads of requests for more "man cards"....and do I suck at making those or what??? So yesterday's penguin and tonight's dragon are my very direct attempts at more manly male cards!!

A couple of weeks ago a few of us stampers got together and stamped (and ate and laughed and gossiped.....such fun!!). Instead of trying to pack up half of my stamp stuff I've finally learned to create card packets and take those along with a few basic items (adhesives, scissors, paper trimmer etc.) and basically just assemble the cards. It forces me to pre-prepare for the festivities in advance and it keeps me on track so that I actually ACCOMPLISH something stamp-related!! It's been working out so far and the results are these cards. I'll have another one tomorrow..........hey - have fun today and stamp something!!

Just A Little Something

Cardbase & Penguin stamp - Memory Box
Sentiment & Citrus Green CS - CTMH
Ink - Memento
Copics & Spicas
B&T - ??? (it's over 10 years old!!)
Marvy Oval Punch
Cuttlebug embossing folder

Well, since I've posted Heidi's b-day card, let's keep the ball rolling!! Stamped, colored and cut out these darling penguins LAST year....and they've just been hanging around waiting to star in their own card. They're fairly small stamps so you really need to "build" the card if you want a "busy" feel to it - the answer to nearly every stamping problem?? B&T paper of course!! This stuff is absolutely ancient (in fact, it's so old it's in 8.5 x 11 sheets.....boy, if that doesn't age me, what does???) - but it's still usable. Trying really hard to sort through all of this stuff that I've been keeping - gotta make room for the NEW stuff........ CTMH is just a month away from their Spring catalog - I've had a peek and there's some nifty new papers in there!!

Heidi's B-Day Card

Cardbase, sentiment stamps, B&T paper & ribbon - Papertry Ink
Floral stamps - CTMH
Marvy Circle Punch (aqua)
EK Success smaller Circle Punches
Corner rounder
Inks - Memento & CTMH
Spicas
Stardream CS
Brads - ???

As Heidi was opening her card, I was confessing......confessing that the card design is from Papertrey Ink. But I do like the design a lot and since all of the elements just fell together so easily and quickly I figured it was simply meant to be (well, at least it sounded good to me). She liked the card and that's really all that counts...............of course having a piece of cheesecake at the time probably didn't hurt either!!

Autumn Joy

The complete card...

Close up of the leaves....

Close-up of "Frolic Fred"....
Cardbase - Papertrey Ink
Stamps - Memory Box (Frolic Fred) & CTMH (alphabet)
B&T paper - Doodlebug
QuicKutz Leaves
Memento Ink
Copics
Silver Gel Pen (for Fred's buttons)
I've gotten good use out of Fred, first I used him for a Halloween card and now for an "Autumn" card and the sample that I've seen has Fred in the snow......he's a pretty useful guy!! Although it's another 4-bar card, it took quite a long time to complete (generally I make 6 cards of each design, 4 to sell and 2 to send - for this design, I didn't sell any - I sent them all out....but I'm happy enough with the design that next year if I'm having card-designing block, I'll just whip up a few of these). Fred required a steady hand to cut and all of those leaves had to be made into a pile (or what's the point of Fred making his mad dash???). Can't you just hear him screaming???!!!

Glitter Tree

Stamp, Cardstocks & ribbon - CTMH
B&T paper - Target Dollar Bin (last year)
Ink - Memento
Spicas

Ok, so it's not really all that glittery in the photo - but the Spicas do make the leaves quite lovely. I love this paper too - the colors "feel" Autumny to me. I think the print is pretty huge for a 4-bar card, but weirdly enough - it works.

The Scenic Route

The complete card....

A close-up....

Stamps - Stampin' Up, A Muse & CTMH
Cardbase - Memory Box
B&T Paper - Cosmo Cricket
Inks - Memento, Color Box
Copics & Spicas
Ribbon - CTMH
I don't remember how long I've had this set from Stampin' Up but I can tell you that the reason I purchased this set (there are 3 "scenes") was specifically for THIS stamp - I love this scene!! It was a lot of coloring but man was it FUN to do!! I think if you were taking a drive in gentle rolling hills, just kind of humming along and as you glance to the right (because I'm always the passenger), this is what you'd see..............pretty ding-dang cool...........

Grateful for.......

Yep..............here's what I'm most grateful for - come hell or high water - I love them both so much I could just eat them up.
Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours.........

Autumn's Flowers

The card...

Close up of the Twinkling H2O paints.....
Cardbase - Memory Box
B&T paper - Target's Dollar Bin (last year)
Stamps - Stampendous
Inks - Memento & Color Box
Copics & Spicas
Twinkling H2O water color paints
Gems - A Muse
Ribbon - ????
Brad - Making Memories
I actually have another stamp that has this same sentiment - but it's sized more for the inside of a card. I do love the sentiment though - and when I saw this stamp at Michael's (for 25% off!!), I picked it up. Dave from Memory Box had just been in town to teach some classes and I always associate the Twinkling H2O's with his work......and ta-dah, the card was done in my head. I only had to wait for a bit of time to sit down and actually MAKE the cards which I did on the day that Gail came over for a "Fall Celebration" day (aka as one of her Furlough days and one of my days off).....and fun was had by all!!

Pick of the Patch!

The card......

And a close-up because I can.....
Stamps - Hero Arts & A Muse
Cardbase - Memory Box
Inks - Memento
Copics & Spicas
Ribbon - A Muse
Cardstocks - CTMH
One of my Autumn cards............I've had the set of Hero Arts stamps for a few years now and this is the first time I've used so much of it in a card. Don't you just love those clear sets from Hero Arts??? In less than 3 weeks their new catalog will be unveiled - I know I'll be sunk (and before Christmas too!!).
Heidi and I have been card-talking and I think we've both come to the conclusion that once our Memory Box cardbases are used, we will be using Papertrey Ink cardstock as our cardbases for about 95% of our cards. It's much more sturdy than Memory Box AND it's much, MUCH more economical even if it's a bit more work (cutting & scoring). Since we don't plan on raising our card prices, we need to make every penny (literally) count!!

Just Hanging Around

QuicKutz Spider die cut
Cuttlebug embossing folder (spider web)
Google Eyes

HOW FAST WAS THIS CARD TO MAKE??? Pretty ding-dang fast, I'm telling you!!! This was also fun to make too - I could have made tons of them but I only made 8.....they mostly went to the "boys" on my card-sending list......hope they liked them!!

Ok, that's nearly it for Halloween cards - next week, Autumn cards will be unveiled!!

Crash, Boom, Bam!!

Stamps - A Muse and maybe Savvy for the grass
Woodgrain CS - A Muse
Cat Punch - Martha Stewart
B&T - CTMH
Inks - Memento & Color Box
Copics

I made a template for the tree (just a simple sketch) and used that on the woodgrain cardstock since I made 6 cards and I wanted the consistency factor happening so that the witch could be "crashed" right in the middle!! I'm please with how this turned out - although it was a bit of bugger cutting out the witch - my exacto knife got a work out!!!

Vampy Cuppie

Stamps - A Muse & Taylored Expressions
QuicKutz - Fork
Ink - Memento
Copics & Spicas
Marvy Punch
Memory Box Cardbase
Gemstones - Hero Arts & Michael's Dollar bins

Better late than never, at least that's what I'm trying to tell myself!! Here's a card that I did for Halloween (the inside sentiment is from A Muse - "Bite Me!")......and it was Creepella's favorite. Hope you all got some great treats!!

In about an hour Creepella and I are heading to the theater to meet one of my cousins - we're going to see "New Moon" at 12:01am...........and then, we'll see it at 4:15pm with another cousin and her girls and then we'll see it at 9:30pm (all 3 cousins and all 3 second cousins) and Heidi will be joining us for that showing...................it's going to be a FUN time by all!!!

Batty Greetings

Stamps - Hero Arts
Inks - Memento & Colorbox
Copics & Spicas
Cardbase - Memory Box
B&T paper - Target dollar bin
Ribbon - A Muse

It's never too late for Halloween cards, right???

So this is what I did with the bat.....I liked how it turned out..........I love that the swirly B&T paper is glitterfied, it ties in with bat's wings (that I Spica-fied). The ribbon from A Muse lends the perfect shimmer - so subtle but just the right touch!!

Kayla's Card

Cardbase - Memory Box
Stamps - A Muse & A Stamp In The Hand
Inks - Memento
Copics & Spicas
Martha Stewart Glow In The Dark Glitter
Liquid Glass - CTMH
Metal Stickers - Nailheads

This is Kayla's b-day card.....this is the 2nd "Twilight" themed card for Ms. Kayla....and I think she's a Jacob fan, so since A Muse oh-so conveniently "released" their new wolf stamp - well, need I say more?? It's so much fun to have The Perfect Stamps to make The Perfect Card that's exactly right for the recipient.
The truck is called "Fetching the Tree" (I think).....because there's a pine tree in the bed - but with some really careful snipping (and some great micro-tip scissors) you too can have a truck that would make Bella proud. The glow in the dark glitter is so cool (as I was making the card, I kept taking the bottle of glitter into the closet - just to be amazed). I'm not a big loose-glitter fan but I'm liking Martha's collection (sigh.....every time I try to make a break from her, she sucks me back into her clutches with the next new cool thing......).
The nailheads worked well for the hubcaps. I used Copics on the truck and the wolf, the rest of the "color" was done with those handy-dandy Memento dew drops!!
And finally - this is actually Heidi's b-day, but since she's at The Happiest Place On Earth, I don't feel so bad that I'm not posting HER b-day card......and well, I haven't quite finished (or started) it - yet. We'll be celebrating her b-day next month (need a couple of paychecks to save up for our wild & crazy party!!) - it'll involve eating and shopping of course.
Have a great weekend - take a few moments to stamp!!!

Big Grin Stuff....

Stamps by A Muse, Memory Box, Poppystamps, Inkadinkado

Well here are a few of my new best friends.........I don't know why I do this - have a NON-stamping project going and run out and get stamps......that I can't use until said project is done. I guess I just like to torture myself. I have ideas for most of these stamps (especially the little guy running - top right corner [looking at the stamps] - it's kind of sick, but I think it'll be pretty funny!!). Isn't the sentiment by the 4-year old great?? I know a lot of adults who would think that not hitting & biting someone constitutes a GOOD day!! I purchased the Memory Box stamps because Creepella really likes that style. I've got a few ideas for those two stamps, we'll see how they pan out.

I'm hoping to get some stamping time in this weekend. But first things first - we purchased some of the shelving materials so I'm hoping to get Chef Bo-Bo Head (and his drill) into action - PUTTING UP SHELVES......sheesh, what are you guys THINKING??? After that, clear the decks - it's time to stamp!!!

Party Monster

Cardbase - Papertrey Inks

Stamps - Recollections "My Little Monsters"

B&T paper - 8X8 tablet from Target

Nestabilities Small Pinking Circles

Fiskars mini-pinking edgers & pinking edgers

Inks - Memento

Copics & Spicas

A Muse - Lime Green Gems

Found this set of monster stamps at Michaels.....at 25% off, I think I ended up paying about $4.50 for this clear set of stamps. I was a bit leery as they're made in China, BUT unlike a lot of clear stamps that are made in China, these actually stamp well (not all blotchy). I purchased several sets (both for myself and gifts - Heidi, are you curious????)
The tissue paper flowers are FINALLY finished, after 52 flowers, my hands are officially sand-paper and it feels as if I haven't stamped in ages. Of course the first card to make is a "Grrrrrrr" monster card, right???

Thursday, October 1, 2009

Flowers, Flowers, EVERY WHERE...

This is/these are my current captors.....yes, I'm being held hostage by tissue paper flowers. Technically, I'm being held hostage by tissue paper and pipe cleaners that are just waiting to be folded into flowers. Creepella has already made mention that it seems as if the predominant color is orange.....and I ask you - what's wrong with that?? Making them isn't difficult, actually it's kind of relaxing (almost Zen-like), but good grief making them really does eat up the time (especially since I only have a couple of "crafting" hours after my day job). But I offered to help and help I will. I have a feeling that when I'm done fluffing that last flower I'll have had enough tissue paper contact to last a very long while.
Since I'm committed (or at least SHOULD be...) to making gobs of these, my stamping has to take a back-seat for a few days. Friday is lunch-with-Gail-and-discuss-HP/Hallows-with-chips-and-salllllllsa-for-a-few-hours, so probably no stamping until the weekend.
Hope YOU get some quality stamping time reallllly soon!!
BTW - I have NO idea how to get my paragraphs back. When I'm in my "preview" mode, the text looks nice and tidy, my paragraphs are looking good but when it posts - ICK, everything is all squished - it's stifling my written creativity (which I'll admit, could be a GOOD thing), but dang it, if I want to babble on MY blog, I want to do it in paragraph form....can anyone give me a clue....pretty please???
Happy October 1st - let Autumn begin (please, please, please......)

Ribbon & Friend

Stamp - Hero Arts
Ink - Memento
Copics & Spicas
Ah ha - and here you thought the ribbon saga was over!! Nope - I snapped these up as soon as I saw them at Michaels (yesssss, at a 30% discount too!!). Creepella is admiring them a LOT - I've already told her that I'd give her some (if there are left-overs), but really, I'm hoping that she'll forget about them and I'll just oh-so casually put them in my Halloween stash!!!
As soon as I saw that crazy bat, I had to have it (even though it's wood-mounted!!), haven't really decided what I'll be doing with him - but I stamped, colored and cut out 8 of them so there's a party going on somewhere.

Soothing Florals

Stamps, B&T Paper, Cardstock - CTMH
Ink - CTMH & Papertrey Ink
Stickles & Spicas
Paper Flower & gemstone - Hero Arts
Card Sketch - modified Mojo Monday
Really wanted to use this set of papers......it's so soothing and peaceful. I love the stamps too. Pretty quick and easy cards, the papers do most of the work.
I'm enjoying the Mojo Monday sketches although most of them are a bit busy for me. No worries, just do a little modification - make it your own and Ta-Dah.....you've got yourself a cool card design with NO brain strain.........

Yummmmm - Frosting!!

"Frosting" close up...
Cardbase - Memory Box
Textured CS and B&T paper - CTMH
Punches: Martha Stewart's Drippy Goo Border & Scalloped border; Marvy scalloped oval punch
Stamps - Stampassions & Papertrey Ink
Ink - Memento
Liquid Glass - CTMH
3M Foam Mounting Tape
Getting sick & tired of these "punched" cards?? I'm having so much fun I can't really stop myself - sorry!! And least you think we're nearly done....well, take a deeeep breath and take an extra dose of Patience because ahem, er, ahh, I have a few more M.S. punches up my sleeve.
Loads of fun card to make and IRL, it looks pretty yummy too. I had so much fun making this card, I made 8 of them. I'll be taking in another batch of new cards to sell, so we'll find out if our customers are just as thrilled with these punches as I am..........cross your fingers!!

Bogged Down

Here's part of the mess of "loose" ribbon

A close-up of the the oranges & yellows

A close-up of the purple

A close-up of the blues
A confession...............I was busy stamping and as I was wrapping up the card, I thought, "Hey, a couple of loops of ribbon would look good here....." and that was the last conscious thought I had for the rest of the day. I spent the rest of my weekend "wrapping" ribbon. I guess I'm a bit on the compulsive side in regards to certain aspects in my stamping materials - apparently ribbon is one of them. I had the ribbon mostly separated by color and some of it was wrapped nice & tidy but some of it............wasn't.................it was loose, wild, tangled, creased and I just couldn't take it any more - AAAARRRRRGGGGGGHHHHHhhhhhh.
So this is most of my "loose" ribbon - ribbon that I've purchased mostly by the yard at a couple of LSS and from Michaels too. I have other zip-top bags that hold my A Muse sheer ribbon and stitched ribbon and then there are larger bags that have spooled organza ribbons, holiday ribbons, "textured" ribbon and printed ribbon - let's just say over the years, I've acquired a healthy supply of ribbon. Of course NOW I realize that I'm partial to the skinny ribbon (i.e. A Muse sheer ribbons) - but since I've got a ton of other stuff, I need to get busy using it up.
Now that my loose ribbon has been sorted and tidied up, I can really "see" what I have available so I'm certain I'll be adding ribbon to pretty much every card I make.......aaaahhhh, ribbon frenzy - what a way to go!!
