Love from Joey & Roxxi

There are lots of moms out there.....and there are lots of babies who have fur versus hair.....and who happen to walk on four feet (aka paws) instead of two.  While I might have only one HUMAN child (and sometimes that's questionable.....hee, hee, hee - just kidding Creepella....sorta!!), I've had multiple fur-babies.  I've noticed that most of my friends have fur-babies too.  Coincidence?  I think not!
Hence the card...
My co-worker is mama to Joey and Roxxi......Roxxi has a black toenail (she's a white boxer).  So obviously it was a perfect time to bust out some of the dies from Paper Smooches (and I have Heidi to thank for this set o' dies....!!).  Loved making this card - just like most of us love making The Perfect Card for someone special, right??  And Joey and Roxxi were just waiting for their mom to meet a card-maker so that all of their canine warm fuzzies could be realized in cardstock, ink and ribbon!

A Good Bra & A Great Friend

I'm pretty certain that I've posted a card using the bra stamp before......hmmmm, probably along with the sentiment too but here's a new design!  These turned into some Mother's Day cards but since they're not OBVIOUSLY Mother's Day cards I thought it was safe to hold them until now.

Close-up of the bra with loads of Stickles!

Close-up of the sentiment because it's so cool (and true).

Stamps - A Muse (bra) & ?? (sentiment)
Inks - Memento, Colorbox
B&T paper - CTMH
Nestabilities - Label 6
Oval punches - Marvy

A Mom Cup

This one was a fun one....when I finally figured out the card design.  A little bit of coloring, some paper-piecing  and paper layering and  breaking out a couple of Martha border and corner punches and the was done.

I love the B&T paper (CTMH's "Balloon Ride"), it's perfect for a china pattern, don't you think?  I popped out the cup with some foam tape for dimension and used 3 shades of blue Copics, along with a little red on the heart and some Stickles for the steam & heart and the coloring portion was completed.  Swiping the edge with some chalk ink and then the layering began.

Stamp - Taylored Expressions
Inks - Memento & CTMH
B&T paper - CTMH
Border & Corner punches - Martha Stewart
Corner Rounder - Marvy
Organza ribbon

Wishing all of you Moms a Happy Mother's Day!!

Candy Treats for Mom

Treaty-treats for Mother's Day....made a couple of dozen (half for my office gals and half for Creepella's).  These were LUXURY treat bags filled with Sees, Lindt, Dove and Andes candies.  Not the usual candy treats, something a bit, well, MORE.

The stamping treatment was fast & simple.....punched shapes and stamping the sentiment and adhering it all together.  Fast and simple but cute with the addition of some bright curling ribbon.  I've had the decorative bags for years (always knew they'd come in handy one day).

Stamps and B&T paper - CTMH
Ink - Memento
Flower and Scalloped Circle punches - Marvy

Thank Your Mama

Kind of funny, don't you think?  I saw this set online and it just made me laugh and laugh and because it was 30% off, I added it to my cart.

And along comes Mother's Day and POOF, what a perfect card.  Ok, so what makes it REALLY perfect is the "wood"-looking B&T paper.  I was all set to color the clothespins and then it dawned on me, "stamp them on wood paper".....and CTMH's Timberline was perfect!  Lots of fussy cutting (see those eensy-weensy notches??) but so worth it.  I used some metallic marker on the hinge and that's IT color-wise.  Stamped one sentiment in Memento's Desert Sand repeatedly for the background and then the main sentiment was stamped in Memento's Brown (can't remember the catchy name), threw around some twine and adhered the clothespins with the all-powerful foam tape.

Kind of a goofy card but I'm a goofy gal............and you know, we should all thank our Mamas for clean laundry!!

Ink - Memento

Quoting Mom

A new set from CTMH.....isn't it GREAT??  Love the retro look....and the sentiments in this set are so funny (and one is rather snarky!!).

Heidi and I each made 5 Mother's Day cards this year (although I can't count and ended up making 6 sets) and I had to deliver them at the first of the month, not really sure why it's taken me so long to post any of them!!  Now I tried to do double-duty with some of the cards.  I stamped Mother's Day sentiments on some of the cards and saved some of the cards for Birthday, Thinking of You and Friendship sentiments.....I'm tricksy right??  Always thinking (or at least I like to think I am!!)

Stamps and B&T - CTMH
Inks - Memento & CTMH
