Tree Decorations?

I think flowers would wear earrings - I mean come on, they're flowers so they're all about accessorizing, right?  This is a lovely pair that Creepella made when I lamented over the fact that I didn't having any "red & black" earrings (ahem, I probably already did but aren't these beads rather fantastic???).  She's a good sport - she humors me a lot of the time AND she's created some beeeeautiful items for me and I don't know....I'm thinking those flowers are looking pretty spiffy with a pair too!!

Mostly Awesome

In this photo the raindrop's face looks a little scary (see, you can have too much glitter/Stickles!!).  But IRL, it's not so bad.......another PS-stamps card.  I try to look away and not fawn over the cuteness of these stamps but I simply cannot help myself.  And weirdly, so many of these sets are appropriate for so many people in my life.  When I saw all the cute weather-themed stamps I knew it was a set I could use over & over for cards for Creepella (I tell you the girl is WILD about rain....).  Love the little droplet gemstones too........actually happy-happy when a card comes together so fast & easy.

Surfin' Snoop

Yep, another eensy-weensy stamp.....with layers upon layers upon layers - but it works for me!!

Julie Knock-off

Hmmm, I can't remember when I saw the original card on Julie Ebersol's blog........but I think she used Hero Art stamps and her "candle" was more rope-looking than this.  I can't remember if she used any border punches but I'm sure the banner is a dead-on copy.  Oh well, imitation is the highest form of flattery - ESPECIALLY when the imitation is acknowledged.  Julie is an inspiring gal - glad she's happy to share her creations!

....and HB to Mom - missing you always......

Calling Toast

So much fun - to make and look at and just fiddle with.....that's what this card was all about.  Who couldn't love that little piece of toast?  Ooooh and the little melty pat of butter was perfect for the envelope!!

I was a busy stamper today - Heidi and I have decided to have a go at a craft fair later this year.  We've haven't participated in any for several years but with the seemingly slightly positive change in the economy, the absence of our cards for the last 6 months and positive attitudes - we're HOPING that we can see some sales.  Good for our stamping egos and mostly good for our savings account AND for a proposed Girls Get-away trip sometime within the next decade or so!!

I'm making a personal challenge for myself to make 32 out of the 42 sets of cards withOUT purchasing any items aside from adhesive.  It's going to be tough though - CTMH will be coming out with a new catalog in August - and it'll have Halloweenie things!!  But wait, I'm perfectly fine in acquiring a few Halloweenie items as we won't be making any holiday cards.  Oh Joy - Oh Rapture.....tra-la-laaaaa!!

To The Rear

Ok, here's one of those times when I wish I were savvy about techie things so I could do a little action video thingy - because IRL, the cat's backside is mounted onto one of those wobble things......so it jiggles and it's hysterical......but I guess it's still kind of funny as a "still life"............at least I thought so.  I cracked up when I saw the stamp in the store and then Heidi and snorted at each other like two 10-year boys.

Oh yes, we're quite mature..........................

Green Cheers

A mini-card.....using mini pinking scissors (love them), it's actually designed for a wedding card but I wanted it to be a b-day card so I just stamped the "Cheers" on a scrap piece of CS and trimmed it to fit.  I forget how much I like rainbow pads and since I didn't have any with me on this stamping trip, I just used the Memento teardrop pads that I had.....with good results.

Hugs & Kittens

I keep telling myself that "one of these days" I'm going to update links and favorite other blogs and all of that stuff because I really do have some favorite blogs that I'd love to share with Heidi and Creepella (the 2 people that I know look at my blog - on a semi-regular basis).

Anyhow, one of the blogs is about kitten fostering.......when I was making Mother's Day cards, this idea just popped out of my head.......I mean it was pretty weird - like I had no control over my arms and hands......and POOF!!!.....here's the card!

Squirrel Haven

I know these guys are Einstein and Heidi's mortal enemies but they ARE cute when they're not destroying a roof or tormenting a dog........

We got the feeder at craft fair last year and I so enjoy looking at it when I'm sitting on the patio I'm saving some cashola to purchase a couple of items from the same metal artist at this year's craft fair.....I think some wall art for the too-bare patio walls and another "feeder" piece.

Ok, back to getting some crafting done myself!

HB 2 U

Ok, it's kind of funny that I have these stamps (they were a gift) because as anyone who knows me knows I very rarely text (I still pay per text sent and received), I have very little clue about texting lingo, I'm not on face book or Twitter or well, anything else.....this blog is about as current as I am with technology/social media and believe me - I stumble around most of the time trying to figure out how to upload a photo for most of these posts!!

BUT I realize most people are texting and tweeting and face booking so I figure I should give it a go as long as it involves stamping!  So Ta-Dah!!!

Stamps from Stampendous, B&T paper from Target's $1 bin; solid CS - CTMH and Star Dream; Ink - Memento; Cuddlebug embossing folder; Candle die cut - QuicKutz; oval punches - SU; Stickles; CB - Memory Box; Bakers Twine - A Muse; Pinking Scissors - Fiskars.

Beach Buddies

I had a WONDERFUL birthday this year and received some outrageously awesome gifties........not a shocker - I received quite a lot of stamp sets (yippee, yipppeee, yippee!!).  I've had my beady eyes on these for over a year now.  They are TINY - only about an inch in diameter but I love them.....Snoopy & Woodstock?  How cool are they??  And better still, Chef Bo-Bo Head is a Snoopy fan too....pretty great when a gift you receive can domino into a gift for someone else, right?

Snoopy and Woodstock are from PSA Essentials, the sentiments is from Paper Smooches (another b-day gifty....thank you Heidi!!).  The cool B&T paper is from CTMH (Surf's Up) and in hindsight I should have flipped it to look more wave-like; punches from Marvy; scallop scissors from Fiskars; Memento Ink and Copics finished things off.

21 Cheers!

What do you do when your creepy offspring turns 21?  Well, you make her a semi-creepy card of course, of course!!

And because her love for SKULLS is still as strong as ever, you accessorize with "skully-ness".....

And what's a bottle that doesn't shimmmmmmmmer???

Aside from the AWESOME stamp from Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps, the main action here centers on coloring with Copics.  Honestly I don't remember the exact number but I believe I had 4 colors for the hair and about 6 for the dress.  She colored up pretty quickly (probably because I was having so much FUN) and I was very pleased with the results.  More importantly (but only slightly), Creepella really liked the card - missioned accomplished!

As with most cards that I make for Creepella, I used the green Star Dream CS as the base and die-cut a couple of hearts (A Muse) from some pink scraps of more Star Dream CS to carry out the shimmer theme.  OH - and I matted the image panel on some text-weight Star Dream charcoal-colored paper I have in my stash.  It's very difficult to see but the ribbon is almost two-toned and has a bit of a sheen to it as well (I believe it's May Art Ribbon).  The adorable skull brad is from CTMH as is the alpha stamps.  The subtle oval ("shadow") is from A Muse.  CTMH and Memento Inks were used as were Spicas, mini gemstones (that I colored various shades of green but again don't show up well in the photo) and Liquid Glass.
